Below you can read our review of the online design firm Logo Mojo and the custom logo design services that they offer. We start out by profiling this company and its custom logo packages and then we report on what customers have had to say about this company in blogs, forums and other online channels.

Overview

'Logo Mojo' are an online custom logo design firm that has been around since 1992. They claim to have served and satisfied over 45,000 clients during that time period. Logo Mojo receives backing from Deluxe Corp, a large company that provides a variety of services to thousands of small businesses. Logo Mojo has its headquarters in Quebec, Canada while Deluxe Corporation is based in the US.

All logo designers at Logo Mojo are in-house, meaning that they don't outsource work to other design houses or other countries. They have done designs for several celebrities and their testimonials are featured on the website.

Design Packages and Prices

Logo Mojo offer four different custom logo packages that include 'Starter', 'Bronze', 'Silver' and 'Gold'. They also offer a package for refreshing or updating an old logo with a new version. Their basic or 'Starter' package includes six concepts created by two different designers and includes two rounds of revisions. At the high end, their 'Gold' package features thirty concepts by ten different designers with unlimited revisions. While their prices are expensive, they seem to be a company that makes up for it with quality and reliability.

One good feature of the Logo Mojo service is that you can communicate directly with your design team rather than only through an account manager. Clients are encouraged to call or email.

While they specialize in customized logo designs they do also offer a wide range of other services and products. These include website design, brochure design, flash animation, promotional audio jingles, stickers and promotional clocks with your company logo

Guarantee Policy

Logo Mojo do promote a satisfaction guarantee on their home page although we were unable to find any clarification as to what this means exactly.

While they don't openly promote a refund policy on their home page like many others logo companies do we did find a reference to refunds in their 'Terms of Use' (the link can be found in the footer of the logomojo.com website). I recommend that you read the 'Terms of Use' for the exact wording. My interpretation of it is that you can get a refund if you are not happy with the preliminary designs as long as your project has not yet moved into the revision stage. There is mention of a processing fee of $95 being deducted from refunds.

Delivery Time

Delivery times for initial design concepts vary from between three to five days depending on the package that you have ordered. They offer clients the option to get express delivery if they are in a hurry. For an extra $195 clients can have their preliminary samples delivered in only 24 hours.

File Formats

Logo Mojo supplies its clients with their logo files on a CD Rom that is mailed out by post as well as via email. Customers get high resolution design files in both color and black and white. Files can be delivered in a variety of formats that include AI, PSD, GIF, JPG and TIFF formats to name just a few.

Design Awards and Media Coverage

We were unable to find any references online regarding any coverage that they have had from reliable media sources. We were also unable to confirm if they had one any design competitions or not.

Design Portfolio

A variety of samples can be found at LogoMojo.com to give you an idea of the kind of quality that their design team has come up with in the past for other business clients.

Assessment of Opinions and Reviews on the Internet

We did a thorough search online to try and find out what people are saying about Logo Mojo and if their customers have all had positive experiences with them. We searched for forums, blogs and other consumer websites looking for reviews, complaints, compliments and other feedback.

Surprisingly, for a company that is so well established and that has done so many logos there has been little discussion about them and their work online.

1) One of the best places to go if you want to check how reliable a company is and how it treats its customers is the Better Business Bureau (the BBB). The BBB rates businesses on a scale of A+ down to F. To rate a business the BBB will look at many factors, including the number of complaints that they have received about the business in question and how successful businesses have been in resolving complaints. Logo Mojo is listed under the umbrella of Deluxe Corporation with the BBB here and they received the top grade of A+.

2) One user posted a Logo Mojo review at PissedConsumer.com complaining about their refund policy. The were under the impression that their package was fully refundable.
